The Secret Meeting that Changed Hip Hop: Webisode 59 | DEHH
Avatar of Kinge

We all love a good conspiracy theory and this is one that set hip hop on fire a few weeks back. According to an anonymous letter, there was a meeting in which a bunch of top industry figures conspired to change the content of hip hop. To read the full letter, go here: http://www.deadendhiphop.com/secret-meeting-that-changed-hip-hop/

We got together to discuss this letter that had many talking and what, if anything, it could mean to hip hop. The conversation really went in a couple of different directions as we dived deeper and deeper into not only hip hop, but society in general. That is a conversation that we plan on dropping as bonus footage at a later date. In the mean time, check out our discussion on the letter and let us know what you think. While you’re at it, please subscribe and join the community of hip hop thinkers and activist!

The other big inconsistency in the letter is that there’s no hard and fast evidence that music causes criminal behavior where there wouldn’t be any before. The prison industry could put their money in much more beneficial lanes – like politics, obviously.
