Run The Jewels, the hip hop duo Killer Mike and El-P, join the party of hip hop releases for the month of June as the prepare to release their Run the Jewels album. In the last few days, they announced that June 26th will be the release date for their upcoming album. In addition to the release date, we also have the artwork and track list for the project. After the two’s pairing last year for Killer Mike’s R.A.P. music, it should go without saying that a lot of hip hop heads are waiting to see what Killer Mike and El-P unleash next. Run The Jewels (Killer Mike & El-P) join Kanye West, Mac Miller, J. Cole, and Statik Selektah in the onslaught of hip hop albums slated to release tomorrow on June 18th. As it turns out, J. Cole actually did Killer Mike & El-P a favor moving from his original date of June 26th to compete with Kanye West for album sales on June 18th. Check out the artwork above and track list below.

The Flatbush ZOMBiES are back again with a new single “Palm Trees” from their upcoming project tentatively titled BetterOffDEAD.

Comprised of Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and producer/rapper Erick Arc Elliott and coming off of the release of their first full length mixtape D.R.U.G.S. the Flatbush ZOMBiES came to popularity with single “Thug Waffle” last year. More recently they have been on the BEAST Coastal tour with The Underachievers, Pro Era.

If you were watching the NBA Finals Game 5 tonight you may have noticed something striking during a commercial break at the end of the second half.

One of the best to every do it has set the release date and title for his next solo project. Based on the commercial for the album below it will feature production work from greats like Pharrell, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Rubin.

The album will be released early on Galaxy devices via Google Play on June 24th for free, similar to J. Cole who streamed his album on an app before it’s release date.

Azizi Gibson is an underground rapper from Los Angeles, signed to Flying Lotus’ (a.k.a. Captain Murphy’s) Brainfeeder record label. Other artists sign to the label included The Underachievers, Teebs, and Thundercat.

The entire album was produced by MiLLz and Jonathan Lowel, and keeps with the out of the ordinary style of music coming from Flylo’s label.

When standing alone, who do you hold in the back of your mind? Oakland hip-hop duo Main Attrakionz keeps its kinfolk close in their newest video. “My life is crazy but my family is usual,” raps Squadda B, explaining how he stays bonded to his extended circle through the insanity. Tynethys, a Sacramento producer who is quite an accomplished wordsmith and instrumental musician in his own right and is coming off the release of his recent Lost Angeles project, illustrates the juxtapositions of beauty and freneticism over the course of the song, as piano and operatic vocal samples interweave with a ticking, driving rhythm. The two come together to create a middle place for the Main Attrakionz’s stories to live.

This space will only expand as the duo continues their work with Tynethys. “Kinfolk” is the first track off of a full collaborative album with the fellow Californian, which will be released this summer.
