Devine Carama – Soul Dreams [Nas Tribute]
“Soul Dreams” is the the second leak Devine Carama’s upcoming Nas tribute project, It Was Rewritten. This is his version of Nas’ “Street Dreams” with production reworked by 2 Mello. I don’t know maybe it’s me but the two songs so far has a very light sound to them. Maybe I’m bugging.
“The feel of the original, Street Dreams, sounded like a gangster movie score. I wanted my version to sound like a hip hop movie score. Something that could have fit in the film Brown Sugar. If Nas was a gangsta in “Street Dreams” I wanted to sound like a prophet in “Soul Dreams”. – Devine Carama
